In Fusion, there isn't any way to disable this functionality. Suitcase X1 doesn't have face-level activation, so harmonized fonts still function as expected. However, it is now a more common support problem for customers to be confused by a font family that shows up as a single menu item in Quark. I understand that the ability to use the style buttons is a useful feature. There isn't any way to merge OTF fonts, so users no longer expect this functionality. Me: Given that I have many fonts that I have created and merged with both Fontographer and now FontLab 4.6 and FontLab 5, can you tell me what I must do when compiling fonts so that the style buttons work? It is my correspondence with Extensis Technical Support. Photoshop users: The Extensis Font Panel in Adobe Photoshop requires more work on our part to run natively on an M1 system. In particular, their font manager, Suitcase Fusion, has been one of only two tools I consider mission critical beyond the essential Adobe apps I use. Our auto-activation plug-ins are also ready for Apple M1 systems. Suitcase Fusion 8: The best font manager, reborn I’ve been a huge fan of Extensis since long before Mac OS X. FYI I thought this might be helpful to other. Suitcase Fusion is a Universal application: it can run on both M1 and Intel Macintosh systems.
